This practice runs in the family — and has for over three decades.

Her name is Dr. Kristen Welsh — but her patients call her Dr. K.

Dr. K is a second-generation, second-career chiropractor with deep roots in both Roswell and in chiropractic itself. She is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy (class of 1994), a former Air Force officer, and the daughter of the woman who founded this practice more than 35 years ago.

She didn’t stumble into chiropractic. She was called to it — by a moment that changed her entire family, and by a mother who proved what chiropractic can do when it matters most.

The Family Behind the Practice

Care More Chiropractic was founded in 1990 by Dr. Claire Welsh, who built this practice from the ground up in the Roswell community. In 1996, Dr. Steve Welsh — a former Fortune 500 executive — left his corporate career to earn his own chiropractic doctorate and join her. Together, they grew Care More into the trusted, multigenerational practice it is today.

Both Dr. Claire and Dr. Steve are now retired from practice. Their legacy lives on in the doctor who learned chiropractic by growing up inside these walls — their daughter, Dr. K.

Dr. K’s Story

Dr. K graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1994 and served her country as a commissioned officer, leaving the military in 2000 at the rank of Captain. She enrolled at Life University that same year — working every role at Care More along the way, from front desk to chiropractic assistant to billing — and graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Doctorate in Chiropractic in 2004.

She has led Care More Chiropractic since 2013, and today she is the sole practicing doctor — bringing military discipline, clinical precision, and genuine warmth to every patient she sees.

Specialized Training That Sets Her Apart

Dr. K holds a Chiropractic Certification in Spinal Trauma (CCST) — one of the most respected post-graduate credentials in chiropractic care, and a critical distinction for patients recovering from auto accidents, whiplash, and personal injury cases. Having been in a motor vehicle accident herself, she brings both deep expertise and personal understanding to every PI patient she treats.

She is also Webster Certified through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), a specialized certification in chiropractic care during pregnancy. The Webster Technique supports pelvic balance and alignment throughout pregnancy and is actively recommended by OBs, midwives, and doulas across the area. For many expectant moms in Roswell, Dr. K is an essential part of their birth team.

Who She Serves

Dr. K sees the full spectrum of Care More patients — families, children, pregnant moms, seniors, athletes, and accident victims. As a mom herself, she understands what it means to balance a full, demanding life while making sure your health doesn’t take a back seat.

Her patients don’t just trust her clinically. They trust her personally.

That’s what Care More has always been about — and it’s what Dr. K carries forward every single day.
